boxy
Yes it is possible to have absolutely nothing to write about.
I’ll try my best to sum up the slight activities that have move me in the past week:
- The temperature is pushing the 30s, and it’s no longer fun because of the humidity. It reminds me too much of home, minus all the plus points of home, so it therefore sucks.
- I’ve been caught in a flurry of assignments and tests.
- At any other time, I’ll be catching up on Chuck, My Name is Earl, Big Bang Theory, Heroes (omg how depressing is it this season +__+) and old eps of Boston Legal.
- And watching daytime cooking programs.
- And Judge Judy wtf.
- I discovered that the state library bookshop, the one I walk pass every time after class, sells second hand library books for $2.
- 2 DOLLARS!
- Granted that most of these books aren’t exactly the bestsellers; but for an additional $1.50, I managed to get hold of good autobiographies on the likes of Jim Morrison, Boris Yeltis and, uh, JT. /shy Hope you like it chabs. *blush*
- I’ve also been stock-counting to pay for my Melbourne expenditures.
- Oh yes, I am heading back to Melb at the end of the year! (/^ ^)/ And Sydney for XMas and New Years! And meeting all his relatives from both sides of the family, which is quite scary no matter how you look at it. (- -”)
- Mum and sis coming to visit!
- Evil sticky flies are back.
And since I have 3.0G worth of space, I don’t know why I haven’t thought of this before but WAHEY I can do a music rotation thing again!
For the uninformed lots of you, a music rotation is essentially a playlist of songs I put up for say, a week – and you are able to sample these songs and let me know if you like them cos if you do then you’ll be happy and so will I! Simply because I get a kick out of recommending songs to people.

Crap, I can’t upload songs onto wordpress. =.=
But no matter. I’m all pressed for this now so I’m experimenting with this file hosting site and… here goes.

Week 1′s Playlist:
- Artist: Chairlift
Title: Bruises
Description: That song from the Ipod Nano-chromatic ad.

.. - Artist: The Living End
Title: Make the Call
Description: Taken from their latest album, White Noise. I didn’t like the title track as much since it got radio-killed. =.= But everything else in this album is <3. There’s hope for old school rocknrolla making a comeback after all.

.. - Artist: The Potbelleez
Title: Are You With Me (radio edit)
Description: I love The Potbelleez. Even though I’ve only heard 2 of their songs so far, and I think they only have 2 songs out in the market to date (unless isohunt failed me miserably). Their first single ‘Don’t Hold Back’ is great, but it’s been getting enough airplay and clubplay so I’m putting this one up instead.

.. - Artist: Sam Sparro
Title: 21st Century Life
Description: One of the more surprising ‘voice//looks’ mismatch of the year, I reckon. This Aussie guy charmed us on radio with ‘Black & Gold’, and then radio lived up to its purpose of slaughtering a good song, and … well, thank goodness for the ‘other tracks that don’t make the radio (yet)’. Extremely smexy voice, somewhat of a cross between a black soul singer and Jamiroquai. >__< Yes, so promisingly smex. And yet, he actually look like this:Unless you find that sexy, in which case I’m sorry I don’t mean to offend. =X But anyway, good stuff still, the whole album.

.. - Artist: Duffy
Title: Warwick Avenue
Description: Lovely Melancholy. A beautiful song, perfect as a soundtrack for a stroll out in Hyde Park in Autumn (or King’s Park in Winter because Perth is not melancholic enough of a city).

(p/s* Bear with the lack of direct downloads – I cannot afford to pay for file hosting as yet -.-)
